Wade Bootes wins ABA Fall Nationals
in Del Mar
|
| The ABA Fall Nationals have always been some of the best pro racing of the year, but the 2000 version proved to be just a notch better. In a new venue, the race was possibly the best on the ABA's tour this year, with an awesome track, including a giant pro section, a great facility, and a great staff, the ABA outdid itself with a great race. There was a lot at stake for the pros, as this was the last chance to get points and have a chance for the ABA pro title. With 40 AA pros, it was the toughest ABA race all
year.Wade Bootes has had a story book year with 11 ABA pro wins, A Norba Dual Slalom win, and the UCI world Championship Dual title. The only way Wade could top all of that was with a win at the Fall Nationals to
Katapult him into the pro points lead. Well, Wade did just that on Sunday. Bootes rode super strong and took 2 of the 3 main event wins. Wade goes into the Grands with the points lead and one more mission to complete! Bootes will be looking to add a AA title to his Pro Cruiser title he earned back in 1996. |

Vuillemin wins the first round of the SX
Worldchampionship in Stade de Franc in Paris. After
winning his moto and the semi it looked easy for him to
get the holeshot and passing everybody on the track
eccept second place finisher Mike LaRocco. Jeremy
McGrath retired after the first lap.

INFO: The flights of the American GT riders have been booked,
plans have been layed out, now it's time to pull it off. The
European GT skatepark tour is about to take place. Kip
Williamson will be filming the tour for an upcoming GT freestyle
video. With Kevin Gutierrez, Rob Nolli, Lord Voelker and Tom
Haugen on board, the riding at the several riding spots should
not be missed. European GT riders will join the team in their
home countries and you can ride with the team as well.
Just try to hook up with the GT crew at a spot near you to ride,
film or hang out.
With this mail you can find the initial schedule of the GT tour.
As you understand, we will run into problems on outdoor spots
when it is raining. That way we might just cruise by on our way
to the next spot. Just wave at us and we'll wave back.

October 8. and he is out with a broken leg - he got
injured riding his BMX bike through a rhythm section at
Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania last week.That means he
will be out for at least six weeks and will miss
the U.S. Open of Supercross next weekend in Las Vegas. |
